Slam Poetry

In a Brave New World, we can have Life without pain and sorrow,
Everything is predictable, for every tomorrow
Well, who needs love anyway?
It only causes pain and grief,
For parents, children, lovers, friends.
The crying, the anger, the sorrow-
But wait! After sorrow comes joy
After crying comes laughter,
After anger comes forgiveness.
This is what make me real.
So please, let me feel.

  1. This is so good! I like how you added the name of your book into the poem. However, I don't think that love always causes pain and grief. Sure couples argue once in a while, but that's only natural because we are all human. But it is true that after we get angry at someone, we do ask for forgiveness. Overall, this poem is really good because it might all make sense for the theme of the book.

    1. I agree with Michelle, love is something magical and it could sometimes go wrong but it depends on god. We do ask for forgiveness, and we should always forgive as well.
